Halifax offers help with fuel bills
Halifax has promised to give all new mortgage customers £500 towards their gas and electricity bills this winter.
The group will pay 500 towards energy costs to anyone taking a mortgage with it between October 4 and November 5.
The offer applies to the group's entire mortgage range and is available to all borrowers, regardless of whether they are first-time buyers, home-movers or remortgaging. But they must arrange their mortgage directly through Halifax, as they will not benefit from the money if they take out their loan through a broker.
