PART of Halifax was cordoned off this afternoon after a woman died in a fall from a building.
Range Lane in the Boothtown area was cordoned off as police and paramedics were called in, just after lunchtime.
Chief Inspector Viv Cutbill of Calderdale Police, said: “Police were called to Range Lane, Halifax, to reports of concern for the safety of a woman.
“Shortly afterwards officers were informed by the ambulance service that a woman had fallen from the building and was in a serious condition.
“The road was closed as officers secured the scene and to ensure no-one else was injured.
“Unfortunately the lady since died and an investigation into the incident has now started.”
