Following a visit to the central library on Friday, the cup came to Trinity Leeds on Saturday lunchtime before heading to the Breeze Festival in Armley Park, and then by water taxi to Leeds Dock for a mini-festival in its honour.

Fans queued to get their picture taken with the cup at Trinity, which also set up a mini rugby pitch in the shopping centre’s main atrium, complete with astroturf and giant goal posts. The rugby-themed festival at the dock included free water zorbing, live music, and film screenings.

Leeds is hosting two games at Elland Road Stadium: Canada vs Italy on September 26, and Scotland vs USA on September 27.
