Harewood House festival aimed at children of all ages

Harewood House, near Leeds, is counting down to the May Bank Holiday with plans for a full weekend for children of all ages.

This new festival is suitable for toddlers, young children and teenagers, offering a mix of music, dance, and a great range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Ollie Staniforth, aged four, from Pool-in-Wharfedale, is a regular visitor to Harewood, and is looking forward to seeing his favourite characters at the festival.

It will feature TV’s Justin Fletcher, aka Mr Tumble from CBeebies, Peppa Pig and George Pig, Humungosaur and Water Hazard from Ben 10 Alien Force, Roary the Racing Car and Big Chris, and Bob the Builder.

For toddlers and young children there is a chance to watch the Kids Glee Club Live Stage Show with a mix of fun dance and music together with other stage shows. There is also a chance to meet favourite children’s characters around the grounds.

For the teenager the Team Extreme is joining in the festival with BMX and skateboard demonstrations and is a chance to try junk music percussion and graffiti activities.

The festival, on May 1 and May 2, 10am-5pm, also offers a chance for youngsters to see circus skills and enjoy other activities. For more information on tickets and opening times visit www.harewood.org
