Harewood turns on Christmas lights

Harewood House in Leeds celebrated the opening of its first Christmas festival with a lights switch-on at the 18th century house.

Three generations of the Lascelles family switched on the lights, including the Earl of Harewood, his son David and Lord Harewood's youngest granddaughter, Tallulah, aged six.

The Christmas festival is open to visitors from Wednesday until Sunday until December 19. It includes a Santa's grotto which should be booked online at www.harewood.org.
