Harrogate motorcyclist killed in Thirsk collision

A MOTORCYCLIST from Harrogate was killed in a collision near Thirsk yesterday (Thursday).

The man, who was in his 60s, was riding a Triumph motorcycle which collided with a white Volkswagen Sirocco at Scawton, around a mile from the top of Sutton Bank at around 10am, North Yorkshire Police said.

He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw any of the vehicles prior to the collision, to contact them.

The motorcyclist was with two other motorcycles at the time of the collision.
