BUSINESS relocation specialist Harrow Green is set to expand its Yorkshire operation following the £7.25m acquisition of the company by AIM-listed Restore.
The company, which has its North-East regional centre in Millshaw Park Lane, Leeds has expanded into 6,000 sq ft of additional storage space at Whitehall Park on Whitehall Road.
The new building will act as a store for office furniture recovered from client moves, much of which is re-used or recycled, and free up existing space to allow for the growth of the company’s records management division.
Restore already provides workplace change services including records management, document scanning, relocation and recycling services. The company also owns Peter Cox, the damp proofing and timber treatment firm which has operations throughout the UK.
Harrow Green, which was founded in 1983, specialises in office relocations and provides records management services.
The company serves a large and diverse range of clients from small local businesses, to multi-site international blue-chip corporations and a wide range of public sector bodies.
Harrow Green also operates an international relocations business, and owns a 50 per cent share in Relocom, a specialist IT relocation provider, based in St Albans.
Nigel Dews, Harrow Green’s managing director, said: “Both companies are very excited about the prospects ahead as we combine the considerable talents, systems and technology of our businesses.
“Like Harrow Green, Restore is proud to benefit from extremely strong and long lasting relationships with clients and suppliers.
“We believe this is an extremely positive move for each of our companies and our focus will be on continuing to deliver superior levels of service and customer satisfaction.”
He added: “Restore and Harrow Green share the same values and the combination of two already impressive skillsets will bring new innovation to the UK marketplace whilst continuing the tradition both companies have for intuitive and collaborative working, designing industry-leading solutions and delivering unrivalled project contribution.”
