Have your say on council services

RESIDENTS in Hull are being invited to have their say on how council services are run.

The Hull People’s Panel is recreating new members and will issue its latest survey this month, seeking views on issues including bin and waste collections, parks and open spaces, community safety, street cleaning, adult learning and sports and leisure. The panel, which is open to residents and visiting students, is the council’s main method of gathering the opinions of the community it serves.

Members are entered into a prize draw each time they complete a survey and are invited to events such as tea with the Lord Mayor.

Council leader Steve Brady said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for residents to influence decisions, but also give an option for those people who want to get involved further to do so.

Residents can give their views by spending 15 minutes four times a year completing a survey or for those who want to get more involved, there is a chance to meet other panel members.”
