GENEROUS shoppers in Leeds city centre donated more than £149 in just two-hours to a collection for Leeds Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
Cutting Edge, the student surgical society of Leeds University, were out collecting at various city centre locations on Wednesday (Dec 5).
The society’s mascot Dr Care-Bear went along and posed for photographs with shoppers.
The majority of the £149.11 collected will be going to Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
A Small amount will be used to buy ingredients to make Christmas cakes for staff working in surgical departments at Leeds hospitals during the festive holidays.
