Help sought over car ‘linked to shooting’

Detectives in Leeds hunting offenders who shot a 35-year-old man from Sheffield have released details of a car they believe is linked to the incident.

The small black hatchback is thought to have been used to transport a firearm to the scene of the shooting at Laycock Place in Chapeltown just before 5am on April 4.

The car is seen on CCTV travelling at high speeds and on the wrong side of Chapeltown Road shortly before the shooting. Police believe the vehicle’s occupants collected a firearm from someone in the nearby area.
