Help for town’s homeless from housing charity
A CHARITABLE housing association has opened a supported housing project in Huddersfield for young homeless people.
North House on Swan Lane, Lockwood, was acquired by Connect Housing in January and has undergone extensive renovation after being empty for over two years.
Kirklees Council awarded Connect a contract to provide support services for young people who are homeless or inappropriately housed, and the first tenants have now moved into the nine en-suite rooms.
The Swan Lane project is jointly funded by Connect, Kirklees Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.
