High winds causing delays at Leeds Bradford Airport
HIGH WINDS caused major disruption to flights in and out of Leeds Bradford Airport today.
A British Airways flight from Heathrow had to abort its landing and was diverted instead to Manchester where it landed safely. An EasyJet flight from Geneva was also diverted. The weather caused several flights to be delayed or cancelled at throughout the day, a passengers began their Christmas getaway.
A statement from the airport read: “Strong wind is disrupting flights today, delays expected. Please contact your airline for further information. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
