History lesson on house of Tudors

John Roberts

PUPILS at a Yorkshire school have been getting to grips with history as they were asked to assemble a Tudor house.

The lesson at the juniors at Fulneck School, in Pudsey, Leeds, saw youngsters working in teams for a living history lesson as they were given the challenge of creating a one-third scale Tudor building.

The exercise aimed to get them to show problem-solving skills while learning about history at the same time.

Meanwhile Fulneck’s senior school pupils took part in a science lesson with a difference yesterday as they were shown how the subject can be used to fight crime. Pupils in years seven and eight took part in a forensic science workshop, learning about the science behind the use of facial recognition techniques, fingerprinting and the information investigators can gather from analysing blood splatter patterns.
