Homes evacuated in cylinders scare

People in Lowfield, Sheffield, were moved from their homes yesterday lunchtime after two cylinders containing oxygen and acetylene fell over at a council depot in Olive Grove Road.

At 11.30am emergency services moved residents to a nearby sports centre while they dealt with the scare. A police spokesman said the cordon around Olive Grove Road was lifted just after 1pm.
