Honour for steelcity ambassador
Yesterday's match came just a week after the top referee received a certificate from the Lord Mayor of Sheffield to mark his work with Sheffield Council's "Positive Activities for Young People" programme.
The Mayor, Alan Law, said: “He is truly a great ambassador for Sheffield, Rotherham and South Yorkshire, and has motivated literally thousands of local youngsters to change their lives for the better.”
