Hosepipe ban inregion avoided
Yorkshire Water said last night it had managed to stave off a hosepipe ban following the driest January to July since 1929.
However, the company is urging customers to continue using water wisely. Beth Jones, asset strategy manager at Yorkshire Water, said this would ensure that “reservoirs fully recover and are just as healthy come summer next year”.
