Hospital to scrap ante-natal classes
Only teenage mothers at York Hospital will continue to benefit from the one-to-one instruction previously offered to all families.
NHS bosses say young mothers often do not have a partner to bring to classes and may be too bashful to go alone, so continuing to offer weekly sessions for them in closed groups will encourage them to attend.
