Huddersfield street attack puts man in hospital

Detectives are investigating an assault on a Huddersfield street which left one man needing hospital treatment for a facial injury.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, was attacked by another man at approximately 5.15pm on Tuesday, August 2 on New North Road, near to the junction of Norfolk Close.  

West Yorkshire Police said the suspect is an Asian male aged in his 20s.

Detective Constable Carla Senior of Kirklees CID said; “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around New North Road and Norfolk Close on Tuesday evening and may have witnessed the assault or who has any information to come forward.  

“Information can be passed to myself at Huddersfield CID on 101, or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
