Highways England Yorkshire is advising football fans heading to Huddersfield Town's home game with Chelsea to take an alternative route.

It follows an accident off the motorway, on the A644 from junction 25 on the M62.

The Terriers kick off their second consecutive year in the top flight today.

Police are advising that the road is likely to be closed for some time and it may affect traffic heading to John Smith's Stadium.
