Setting out in December to raise £100,000, the York Minster Fund has generated £110,000 to help with repairs to the stonework and roof of the Minster’s Camera Cantorum.

A two-storey structure which dates back to 1415, it is located on the Minster’s south side. It houses the Minster shop and the Minster Song School, where generations of choristers have been trained.

Some £300,000 has also been allocated for the repairs from the government’s First World War Cathedral Repair Fund.
