Human remains found in Cleckheaton
Human remains have been found on land in Cleckheaton, police have confirmed.
Officers were called to Scholes Lane yesterday afternoon at around 1.50pm following a report of a body being found on land near the road. An investigation is now underway.
A police spokeswoman said: “At about 1.50pm yesterday (March 25), police received a report of possible human remains being found on land off Scholes Lane, Scholes.

Hide Ad“Officers attended the scene and have confirmed that the remains are those of a human.
“These will be the subject of further tests.
“It is too early to confirm whether there are any suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are continuing.”
