POLICE are hunting a man thought to be responsible for a series of indecent assaults on schoolgirls in Doncaster.

Detectives say the man, who has a “distinctive arm swinging walk”, has been targeting girls aged between 11 and 15 since April.

Despite obtaining several CCTV images, police have yet to identify who he is and are appealing for help to investigate the “exceptionally serious crimes”.

The first reported offence was at 5.30pm on April 15 when a 14-year-old girl was inappropriately touched on the chest as she walked home from school along Cromer Road in Intake.

In the most recent incident, on August 5 at 5pm, a man pinched the bottom of an 11-year-old girl who was walking her dog in Thorne Road.

Acting Detective Sergeant Andrew Knowles said: “We are continuing to investigate these exceptionally serious crimes, and we urge the public to help us identify the man we believe to be responsible.”
