A luxurious Yorkshire Pudding said to be the most expensive in the world has been whipped up by Adam Smith, head chef of The Devonshire Arms Hotel at Bolton Abbey.

Produced in anticipation of National Yorkshire Pudding Day this Sunday, Adam’s pricey pud dish, worth £500, includes a beer-fed Dexter beef fillet, a whole Black Perigord truffle imported from France and a Gold Leaf.

Restauranter turned food and drink writer Elaine Lemm was on hand to taste the rich recipe at the hotel.
