I mistook husband for bear says killer
An American woman who says she shot and killed her husband because she thought he was a bear went on trial yesterday in Canada.
Mary Beth Harshbarger, 45, from Pennsylvania, became hysterical after the shooting, hunting guide Lambert Greene told the trial in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland.
Harshbarger told authorities that it happened while the two were hunting in Newfoundland in 2006. She has pleaded not guilty to criminal negligence causing death.
