I spy a true one-off

VINTAGE vehicles of all shapes and sizes rolled up at the grounds of historic Ripley Castle, near Harrogate, for the 27th Yorkshire Classic Car and Bike Show.

Among the machines on show was a 1979 TV Licensing detector van belonging to Martin Maltas, of Sherburn in Elmet, near Leeds. “I bought it about eight years ago for £100,” he said.

“It was a lot less vintage than some of the cars on show, but it is a real one off.”
