Injury setback forAtlantic rowers

A rower competing in one of the world's toughest races was last night battling an injury he has picked up in the first week of the challenge to cross the Atlantic.

Alex Macdonald and Luke Grose, from Settle, North Yorkshire, are staying with the main pack of competitors in the 3,000-mile Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race despite Mr Macdonald injuring his back when he was thrown to the deck after a 20ft wave hit their vessel.
