Instrumental sections mark launch of Harrogate Competitive Festival

THE 74th Harrogate Competitive Festival for Music, Speech and Drama started at perfect pitch, with hundreds taking part.

Competitors from across the country flocked to Harrogate Ladies College for first weekend in which the instrumental section marked the launch of the three-week festival.

The Festival resumes on Friday with speech and drama.
