International warrant for murder suspect

An international arrest warrant has been issued for the husband of a murdered 21-year-old Bradford woman who is believed to have left the country.

Police suspect that Danish Irfan may have returned to Pakistan.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said last night that his exact whereabouts remains unknown and a warrant had been obtained through the British courts for his arrest in connection with the murder of Ridda Zanab.

The Crown Prosecution Service has circulated the warrant internationally via Interpol.

Ms Zanab, 21, was found dead at her home in Alford Terrace by police in the early hours of November 4. She died from head injuries.

Officers have warned members of the public not to approach Mr Irfan, but to telephone police if they think they have seen him.

Anyone who has any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
