Investigation into runaway skip death

David Evans, 60, was crushed by the unoccupied vehicle in the yard of Bradwell Skips, in Baker Street, Sheffield, on April 25.

He was treated for his injuries but died earlier this month in the Northern General Hospital.

South Yorkshire Police has now confirmed it has launched a joint investigation into what caused the incident with the Health and Safety Executive.

An inquest into the death of Mr Evans has already been opened and adjourned.
