Jane Tomlinson anniversary challenge team celebrates with charity cash handover

A LEEDS MP has shared the spoils of a gruelling marathon challenge.

Greg Mulholland was part of team of eight who cycled and ran from Paris to Yorkshire and then on to London during the Jane Tomlinson 10th Anniversary Challenge.

The 43-year-old, who died in September 2007, raised millions for charity despite suffering from terminal cancer.

In tribute, her husband Mike and daughter Rebecca teamed up with the Leeds North West MP for the draining eight-day challenge.

The politician raised over £6,000 during the challenge which marked Mrs Tomlinson being the first terminally ill cancer patient to complete the London Marathon.

The money will go towards The Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Kidz in Kampz and The Leeds Rugby Foundation.
