Jobs saved at Sellers Engineers

Sellers Engineers has been acquired by local entrepreneurs and an Australian investor in a pre-pack administration deal.

The 102-year-old company, which manufactures machinery for the carpet industry at its base in Huddersfield, had struggled as civil unrest in the Middle East led to the loss of major contracts in Libya.

Former Quantum Clothing chairman Mike Shotton led local investors alongside Australia’s CTS Group to secure a deal that will secure 62 jobs at the company.

The business now trades as Sellers Global Engineers Limited in more than 60 countries.
