June 13: United action needed on Leeds rubbish eyesore

Have your say

From: R Hobson, Churwell, Leeds.

I LIVE at Manor Road, Churwell, and would like to appeal to Leeds City Council to put a litter bin at the bus stop on Elland Road that looks on to Manor Road opposite the allotments going into town.

People throw their tins, food wrappers etc onto the grass on Manor Road. I regularly pick it up but it is a thankless task. It is a real eyesore. Thank you.

From: Roger M Dobson, Ash Street, Cross Hills, Keighley.

SOME bright spark recently suggested that the fine for driving while using a mobile phone should be doubled to £200.

My idea would be to instantly ban these drivers for up to six months.
