Just a flying visit

AIRCRAFT enthusiasts nationwide will be given the chance to see the last airworthy Vulcan bomber tomorrow as it leaves Yorkshire for a day long tour of the country.

The Cold War icon, now based at Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport, will take in 10 locations on the flight, marking its 60th anniversary.

The Vulcan to the Sky Trust, which has raised millions of pounds to restore the aircraft said exact timings depended on national air traffic control service clearance.

Flypasts will take place at sites around Britain which have played a part in the aircraft’s six decade history. More details on
