just nine make it to see snow white

A Yorkshire theatre was determined the show would go on after the bad weather left its pantomime cast performing to an audience of just nine.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs went ahead as planned at the Carriageworks Theatre, in Leeds, on Wednesday even though the audience made up just 2.5 per cent of the theatre’s 350 capacity.

Just four adults and five children made it through the snow. Marilyn Cohen, from Alwoodley, Leeds, who was there with her three-year-old granddaughter, Leyla Rose, said: “It was a wonderful experience and the best pantomime I have ever been to.

“It was brilliant being one of only a few people, as Muddles kept calling out Leyla’s name and she even got a kiss from the Prince at the end.”

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will end on January 9.
