Kate’s hats go up for auction
Stylish straw hats worn by the Duchess of Cambridge when she was plain Kate Middleton are to be auctioned.
The two hats were hired, not bought, for social and ceremonial events she attended with William including a black Aurora picture hat, above, she wore to the wedding of friend Harry Meade in October 2010, which she attended with Prince William. They announced their engagement the following month. The hats, each estimated to fetch between £1,000 and £1,500, are being sold in June by Kerry Taylor Auctions.
