Keeping the party united
Labour leader Ed Miliband meets Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson at the club's Carrington training ground at the end of his party's conference in the city.
Mr Miliband, who supports Leeds United, was shown round by Sir Alex, a staunch Labour backer.
And after declaring himself the leader of a “new generation” taking charge of the party, he met some of the new generation of footballing talent being coached at the ground.
The boys and girls were taking part in a regular training session as part of the club’s community engagement programme.
