Kim Kardashian backs toddler as he battles rare cancer

TV PERSONALITY Kim Kardashian has sent a message of support to a toddler who is battling a rare childhood cancer as his family anxiously wait to discover if he will be well enough to spend Christmas Day at home.

Riley Hoult, of Middleton, Leeds, is undergoing chemotherapy at Leeds General Infirmary after being diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the end of November. The 21-month-old was due to start his latest 48-hour chemotherapy session at LGI at 6am today.

His mother Sophie, 20, said: “They are hoping to get us out at 9am in the morning on Christmas Day, fingers crossed. It all depends on his temperature if we can go home on Christmas Day or not.

“We are just going to have a family Christmas and if we are at the hospital we are going to try and make it as special as we can for him.”

Miss Hoult is sharing her son’s cancer fight story on social media sites in a bid to raise awareness of neuroblastoma. More than 4,400 people have ‘liked’ the ‘Rileys Journey’ Facebook page.

Ms Kardashian, who has starred in the US reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and is married to rapper Kanye West, sent Riley a message of support on Twitter, writing: “I’m praying for you little man.”
