Officers have also been conducting detailed searches of Bell Dean Road in Bradford for clues to the 31-year-old's disappearance, and enquiries in Huddersfield where she worked for a time last year.

Police now know that Shelley left her flat at about 7pm on Monday with a friend and had food on City Road before moving towards Sunbridge Road and Rebecca Street.

Shelley is described as white, wearing a long grey cardigan and skinny dark coloured jeans, white sandals and carrying a bag. She has long brown hair and also has a slim build.

Detective Superintendent Sukhbir Singh of the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team, who is leading the investigation, said he was growing increasing concerned for Shelley?s welfare.

He said: "It is now two weeks since Shelley was last seen and both Police and Shelley's family are seriously concerned for her welfare.

"We know she has health issues with drink and drugs and she has also failed to claim her benefits or use her mobile phone."

He added: "She is a much loved daughter, girlfriend and friend and it is completely out of character for her to simply disappear like this. She has also recently bought a puppy which she adores and hates to be parted from for long, making this disappear all the more unusual.

"I would appeal to anyone who has information about Shelley or Shelley herself to contact us as soon as possible.
