Launch of weekend degree courses
University bosses say market research shows that day-release courses and evening classes are no longer popular for busy people with work and family commitments.
Instead they are hoping to attract new students to the university who will study for six weekends a year over six years to earn a degree or three years for a post-graduate qualification.
The courses include degrees in accounting and finance, business management, education studies and law and masters courses in accounting, childhood studies and leadership and marketing.
