Law firm’s £6,500 walking feat for charity

A FIRM of solicitors from Hull has raised £6,500 for an East Riding charity by completing an 18-mile fundraising walk. A 50-strong team from Williamsons Solicitors, including lawyers, their friends and relatives, walked 1,140 miles between them through the Yorkshire Wolds to raise money for the Sue Ryder Holme Hall Care Centre, which provides long-term residential and respite care for up to 37 adults with a range of conditions including multiple sclerosis, strokes, acquired brain injuries, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Deborah Rack, area fundraiser at the charity, called it a “supreme effort”.
