Leadership role call for academies
Ministers are being warned against straying from the academies programme's original mission to boost achievement in the poorest areas.
New academies should retain a commitment to strong leadership and tackling social disadvantage, said the Independent Academies Association. Around 50 schools converted to academy status last month.
