Fatima is an Afghan-born Pakistani poet and writer. She studied at Columbia University, and at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

While she comes from a powerful political family, she has remained active in her work as poet and writer rather than following the footsteps of her family.

Dean of the School of Lifelong Education and Development, Nadira Mirza, said: “This is a rare opportunity to meet and hear from an internationally renowned journalist and writer.”

The discussion will be held at 6pm in the Horton Barn Lecture Theatre, Horton Building at the university. Tickets cost 5 per person.
