“The whole event is to raise money by having a bit of fun and making people laugh.

“We went on the basis that everyone has a hidden talent but we had no idea how true it could be until people started signing up to take part.

“We have a bagpiper, a martial arts specialist, an impressionist, a majorette and a rap poet in our midst.

“We did consider judges with buzzers, but we thought that would definitely put people off.

The mum-of-one added: “It’s also really healthy in terms of motivating people and bringing them together.”

She also said that as a parent she is always “incredibly moved” by Red Nose Day.

A PA system will be put up in the authority’s committee room between 12.30pm-1.30pm.
