Tributes to 29-year-old driver killed in Leeds ring road crash
The collision left the 39-year-old driver in hospital with serious injuries.
"The car hit my house after going through two neighbours' gardens. I was at home with my four children (my husband had literally just gone out) and my youngest was playing on the carpet just in front of the window.
"I heard a bang and initially thought that it was thunder, but then there was another deafening bang and the window and wall shook, and dust was flying up in the air from the plaster boards breaking. I then saw car the car upside down in my garden. My baby started screaming, and my three older girls were all screaming and terrified - my eldest has said this morning she was screaming as she was scared something had happened to her dad.
"When we stepped outside everything was very surreal. I rang 999 as soon as I opened the door and saw the full extent. We and our neighbours affected are all physically OK, but very shook up, and I’m struggling to think of how different things could have been if the car had fully come through with my baby in its path. The man in the car was not in a good way at all and my thoughts are with him and his family by his side.
"We’ve lived here 10 years, our neighbours a lot longer, and there are frequent accidents on this corner. Not as bad as this has been but still something needs to be done really."
West Yorkshire Police said:

"The driver of the Toyota, a man aged 39, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition."
