Lib Dem leader's TV debate success wins extra support

They met apprentices at the Humberside Engineering Training Association on Sutton Fields Industrial Estate.
The Tories made clear they are prepared to target the Lib Dems as bookmakers reported a flurry of bets on a shock election win for Mr Clegg.

Hide AdThe Lib Dem leader said: "While it is important, you've got to keep a sense of perspective. It was only the first step in the campaign proper. I think there are going to be lots of people who are going to wait until the last minute to decide."
Meanwhile Shadow Business Secretary Ken Clarke told the Yorkshire Post
that voting for the Lib Dems could be 'dangerous' and said he was
'horrified' by the prospect of a hung parliament.
nLabour has been pushed into third place in The Sun's daily YouGov poll, on 28 per cent to the Liberal Democrats' 30 and the Conservatives' 33.
