Lifeboat rescues fund-raiser on RNLI North Sea charity swim

A man was seriously ill but stable in hospital last night after he was rescued from the sea by a RNLI lifeboat crew while taking part in a swim to raise funds for the charity.

The 49-year-old from the Grimsby area was swimming from Spurn Point to Cleethorpes when he got into difficulties at about 4.30pm.
