A unusual transport duo have been raising a smile on the face of even the most serious of motoring enthusiasts.
And after acquiring the odd couple of a 1962 London Routemaster Bus and French-made Qpod that is just 1.5m long, North Yorkshire vintage car expert Derek Mathewson says he cannot quite bear to break them up.
Mr Mathewson, who runs DT Mathewson classic car garage and motoring museum in Thornton-le-Dale, near Pickering, said: “They both came to us at the same time, the Qpod came in a deal with another vehicle.
“They make quite a sight together and it has caused quite a few laughs – we will be holding on to them for a while. We have been in business since 1971 and I think they are the most different-sized vehicles we have ever had.”
