Lone waltz for Widdecombe

Ann Widdecombe has vowed to continue dancing to an audience of cattle when she is alone on the moors.

The former MP was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend, after a disastrous performance which resulted in her being labelled "a Dalek in drag" by judge Bruno Tonioli.

Widdecombe said there would be no further dance performances, apart from on the Strictly Come Dancing tour next year. But she added that when she is walking on "Dartmoor in my hiking boots, I will look down at my unpromising footwear and then all around

me to make sure no-one is watching.

"Then, before the startled eyes of roaming cattle, I shall dance around the damp, uneven ground, imagining myself in a glittering gown, waltzing in the arms of Anton Du Beke," she said.
