A longer turn for city's Ferris wheel
A giant Ferris wheel will remain in Sheffield city centre for another year after councillors extended its planning permission at a meeting yesterday.
The 200ft (53m) high wheel, which is at the top of Fargate, opened in July last year and was initially given permission until the end of January. The wheel has attracted extra visitors to the city centre and boosted trade.
