Lovely Jubbly...Only Fools and Horses set to return

The familiar faces of cockney wheeler dealers Del Boy and Rodney Trotter are to return to British screens for the first time in a decade, the BBC has confirmed.

The sitcom is set to be aired as part of a one-off charity special for Sport Relief in March, the broadcaster revealed.

Details of the plot or nature of the programme have not been revealed, but a BBC spokesman said “ a short sketch” is being produced.

The show stars David Jason as wheeler dealer Del Boy and his bumbling younger brother Rodney – Nicholas Lyndhurst.

A BBC spokeswoman said: “There are plans afoot for a short Only Fools and Horses sketch for Sport Relief.”

It ran as a regular show until 1991 and has since reappeared in sporadic Christmas specials – the last of which was in 2003.

Last year, another cult sitcom starring David Jason, Open All Hours, returned to the screens, having been filmed in Doncaster.
